TRP G-Spec Trail SLC

I have been using these Brakes since April this year till now.

So only 5 months.

Fitting was a breeze with only needing to cut hoses down and give it a quick rebleed.

Bleeding these brakes are supper simple.

Compared to the entry level 4 piston TRP Slate T4 and the Mighty Blingy and super stopping Quadiem G-spec DHR these sit right in the middle in terms of power but leaning more towards the DHR. It has loads more modulation thanks to the mismatched 14mm and 16mm hybrid ceramic pistons in calliper.

The brakes look fantastic in the matte black with elegant gold accents and its broad, stiff and perforated carbon lever blade offering great ergonomics and comfortable 1 finger braking.

These levers are compatible with direct mount shifters In conjunction with TRP adaptors Available for SRAM, Shimano I-spec B and I-spec II

I Have matched these brakes with TRP-33 2-piece rotors in 180mm.

These rotors have stayed straight and true since new and are fantastic in all conditions and surprised me even more in the wet with its performance.

What compound pads are you running? I hear you saying!

They were originally supplied to me with sintered Metallic compound, but I ditched them for semi metallic ones that offer more initial bite and control. The sintered pads where powerful when heated up but not suited to the cross country courses I frequent weekly.

Overall these brakes look and feel the goods!

Will be on the shelves by Christmas

BEAR PAWLS BMT HUBS WITH ALEX RIMS AMC4 CARBON WHEELSET 27.5

I have used this wheelset since May this year.

First impression was wow the rims have a beautiful Matte finish and feel and maaaann the hubs are so damn smooth!

Now Bear Pawls is a company which is part of Alex rims.

The hubs have a simple matte look to them but offer light weight and fantastic rear ratchet mechanism. Rear hub comes in 278grams while the front is 170grams in 32-hole 6 bolt.

The rear freehub mechanism comprises of 6 spring sprung pawls and 72 teeth of engagement offering a very reasonable 5 degrees of engagement.

The carbon Rims are made by Alex Rims And are called AMC4.

These ones on my bike are 27.5 32 hole configuration.

Measurements are 37mm outside diameter 30mm internal and 24mm in height.

These rims are perfectly suited for Trail/Enduro bikes.

I am running these with Schwalbe Nobby Nics in 2.35” and the fit and look the business.

The rims have a 2,5mm offset to allow better tensions of spokes on non drive side. Rims and hubs are married together nicely using Pillar Racing Double butted 14/15/14 gauge spokes and for the 4 months of riding on these wheels no tensioning or re truing has been required.

All up this wheelset weighs in at 1750 grams which isn’t the lightest as my previous BPW wheels consisting of Novatec XD642 and ALEX MD 30 rims weighed in a good 100 grams lighter but man is there a difference in regards to stiffness, rolling resistance and out right grip which with combination of lower tyre pressures allowing me to get the confidence to lean, throw and pedal it up and bomb down various terrains with ease.

Love the wheelset with the hubs amazing rolling resistance and the rims amazing stiffness and response. Would highly recommend these!!

Hubs are currently in stock in either boost or non boost in Shimano drive only ( XD bodies coming soon) and in road disc 12x100 and 12x142mm

Spokes Available in black only

Rims by enquiry only.
